The widow of the late Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang’, Faith, has accused former Primier Raila Odinga of colluding with Kajwang’s family to deny her inheritance.
Faith, who now is forced to do "vibaruas"  to sustain her two children family, accused Raila of failing to stand up and defend her marriage to Kajwang despite having been the one who escorted the late Kajwang to pay her dowry way back in 1993.
She claimed that she was legally married to Otieno Kajwang for 19 years, but the family has refused to recognize and give her, her rightful inheritance from the late Kajwang’s wealth. And those who were there when she got married to Kajwang’ like Raila are quiet and doing nothing to help.

“I was married to Otieno Kajwang’ in 1993 in a traditional marriage where he paid six cows and sh60, 000 as dowry and Raila Odinga was there, he accompanied him and I am wondering why he’s just keeping quite when I am being mistreated like a leper and discarded like a doormat. He should say something may be, they will listen to him,” said Faith.
She accused Kajwang’s brother of stealing her wealth while Otieno’s children suffer.
“These Kajwang’s brothers are all independent and all of them have gainful employment. Why do they want to steal from a widow and why are they fighting Otieno Kajwang’s children?” asked Faith.
Already, Kajwang’s children Christie, 18, and Ronnie have been chased out of school for lack of school fees and only Kajwang’s family can help.
